It’s difficult to imagine a time when social media existed without influencers, those people who pose perfectly in photos and sprinkle their captions with subtle product endorsements.

Ms. Gina Worthey was honored with a City Resolution from the Wilmington City Council in Delaware for outstanding work in developing a workforce training program that served over 350 individuals and entrepreneurs.

Established a year-and-a-half ago, the training center is a free jobs program that operates out of Central Baptist Church. Gina Worthey runs it.

"This is about building out a career and a life that you want, not just getting a job. Because we want them to understand the difference between a job and a career," said Worthey, director of Eastside Rising Training Center.
